A staircase and hall with cream walls and a white banister.
What we did
First the dado rail went up, running at the same angle as the stairs and finishing at the newel post. Then we fitted panel mouldings under the rail, up the stair wall and round the hall, by the front door and round the doors off the hall.
The stairs and floor were under dust sheets while we worked. The rail and mouldings are bare timber in the photos, ready for the decorator.
