A plain white wall in a living room with a light grey floor, turned into a media wall.
What we did
We marked out where the TV would go, then opened the plasterboard along the bottom of the wall and put timber in behind it. That is where the floating unit is fixed.
The slat panels went up next, from the floor to the ceiling: wood-effect slats in a light grey on a black backing. The TV is mounted on the slats, and the white floating unit sits below it with four drawers and a rounded end. The slats carry on underneath the unit down to the skirting.
