Navy Kitchen with Oak Worktops and a Belfast Sink — finished work in Lanarkshire

Project

Navy Kitchen with Oak Worktops and a Belfast Sink

Location
Lanarkshire
Year
2025

An open kitchen and dining room in an older house, with the stairs at the far end and the original pine floorboards.

What we did

The range cooker sits in the alcove, with a peninsula beside it between the kitchen and the dining area: a stack of pine drawers and a bank of navy drawers with cup handles under an oak block top. The side facing the table is boarded in pine tongue and groove.

Navy base units run towards the back door under an oak block worktop, with a white Belfast sink under the window and a glazed navy wall cabinet above.

The first photos show the carcasses going in, set out with a laser line.

Materials

  • Navy doors and drawer fronts, with cup handles on the drawers
  • Oak block worktops
  • White ceramic Belfast sink
  • Natural pine drawers and tongue-and-groove boarding on the peninsula
  • Glazed navy wall cabinet
