A plain living room wall turned into a media wall. The customer wanted the TV, an electric fire and space to display things, all on one wall.
What we did
We built a stud frame out from the wall across its full width, with an opening for the electric fire, a space for the TV above it and three niches on each side. The wiring for the TV, the fire and the niche lights went in while the frame was still open.
Then the frame was boarded, skimmed and painted, and each niche got its own small downlight.
