A timber garden cabin with a bare pine floor. The photos were all taken on the same day, from the first battens in the morning to the finished floor in the evening.
What we did
We laid timber battens across the old floor and fitted foil-faced insulation boards between them, then taped the joints so the foil runs unbroken. Underlay boards went down over the top, and the grey oak-effect LVT flooring went on last, right up to the double doors.
Materials
- Timber battens on the existing cabin floor
- Foil-faced insulation boards between the battens, joints taped
- Underlay boards over the insulation
